My 1st Christmas

Christmas was so much fun! I got to rip lots of paper and I am really good at knocking down block towers.

Auntie Carmen and Uncle Greg told me that next year I am going to have a cousin! Hopefully by then I'll be able to make block towers for the baby to knock down.

Words

I have started saying 'dadada' for daddy and something that sounds a lot like 'doggy' when I am looking at Oby over the past couple of weeks. No mama yet, but I can use the 'milk' sign for her.

Haircut

Mommy and Daddy cut my hair after my bath this evening. It can't get in my eyes anymore!

Dancing and Sharing

I've been bouncing, dancing, and tapping to music a lot lately. I've also started playing the 'sharing' game with mommy.

Playgroup Party

Andrew invited me to a Christmas party. I had lots of fun with my friends!

Tooth!

Everyone has been blaming crankiness and drooling on 'teething' for the past 6 months. I finally got my first tooth today (in Bucky cat position)- I am totally happy and not drooling at all!

Thanksgiving Activities

I had so much fun in Ohio! Great Aunt Beth's house had lots of stairs (I had never climbed more than two before).

I flew in an airplane with my mom and dad for my first Thanksgiving in Ohio. I got to play in the snow and see lots of people from mommy's family.

Sign Language Class

Mommy and Daddy take me to sign language class so I can play with lots of friends and toys. I like signing 'doggy' and I signed 'milk' for the first time last night!

Pumpkin Patch

We went to the pumpkin patch last weekend. I dressed up as Oby! I watched ponies and goats and a cow mooed at me. That was cool!

Great Grandma Libby

Mommy, Grandpa Dave and I took a plane trip to visit Great Grandma Libby in Illinois. She gave me lots and lots of hugs and kisses all weekend and took me to feed big fish at the park.

I've been very busy over the past month traveling and practicing crawling. I rode on a plane and went to Washington DC and New York to visit lots of mommy and daddy's friends and family. During the flight, a really nice lady made me a junior flight attendant!

Big Party!

Mommy and Daddy threw a big party for me last weekend! First I got to take a bath and get dressed up in an outfit that Mommy and Grandpa Dave, and Great Grandma Libby, and Great Great Grandpa Cutler, and Great Great Great Grandpa Cutler wore. Then a whole bunch of people came to our house, including my friends Emilia, Aisling, Isaac, and Maeve. We played with toys together. I was tired at the end of the day.

I started moving backwards like this two weeks ago, but mommy has had a hard time catching it on video. Time to start baby proofing the house!

Chapman Family Camping Trip

I went to our first family reunion last week- good thing daddy taught me how to camp the week before! I got lots of attention from all of daddy's family AND there were five doggies to watch AND I got to sleep snuggled up in a tent with mommy and daddy! Yeah!

My First Camping Trip!

Daddy and mommy took me camping with mommy's cousins. I had a lot of fun sitting by the fire and sleeping in a tent! Next week we are going to Big Sur to camp for seven nights, so this was a trial run.

Big helment / Small head

Daddy took me to REI to look at bike trailers today- he is so excited to take me riding. Unfortunately, my head circumference is only 38 cm (below the 5th percentile), so it is going to be a very long time before I can fit into infant helmets, which start at 48cm. Only 1.25 inches in diameter to go...

At my 4 month checkup last week I was 13.5 pounds and 26 inches.

Yeah Exersaucer!

I have been having so much fun with my exersaucer! Mommy and daddy hypothesize that I am left handed because I press the left cow button a lot more than the right lion button most of the time.

The Zoo!

Daddy and I took mommy to the zoo for Mother's Day. I watched a baby giraffe playing with its mother. Did you know that when giraffes are born, they are more than 6 feet tall and 100 pounds? I'm not that big yet. I think I am going to have a lot of fun at the zoo when I get bigger!

Grandma Debbie's visit

Grandma Debbie came to hang out with me for five weeks while mommy started going back to work. She read lots of books to me and sang to me and got me all dressed up every day! I miss her, but I'll get to see her again in July.

Four Generations!

Great Grandma Loretta and Grandma Debbie came to visit me. I smiled most of the time, except for when they tried to give me bottles. Grandma Loretta taught me about gardening- she planted a pink geranium and other flowers in the back yard for me.

Rolling over is harder than I thought last week. I keep trying, but I can't remember how I did it!

Great Grandma Chapman

Great Grandma Chapman hasn't been able to visit my blog, so daddy and mommy decided to bring me to visit her! She couldn't see me, but she could feel me.

Fishing with Grandpa Bob

We took a car trip to visit Grandpa Bob and Grandma Chris last weekend for Easter. Grandpa is really excited to take me fishing when I get a little bit bigger...

Easter Bunny

Mommy took me to visit the Easter Bunny this afternoon. Some of the bigger kids thought he was pretty scary, but I was really brave.
